What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I knew I forgot something!

We took our bikes back to Evanston for a family bike ride on Tuesday. It was gorgeous outside- perfect temp, overcast (no sun directly on E). We love going back to Evanston, past our old city apartment, neighborhood, Northwestern, the beach front, and of course the dining. And, I couldn't forget my camera for all the pics- here they are:

The three of us with our bikes.

The beautiful lake front with the boats out on the water.

The cute little nautical beach-front playground where we let E stretch his legs. Notice all the high-end strollers, no Gracos to be seen. Ha, only in Evanston.

Here's a fun pic of us riding past all the gorgeous houses (mansions).

I love it that none of the houses look the same.

We planned on going to one of our favorite eateries in Evanston, Cozy.
We used to order it at least once a week (pre-baby/mortgage budget), and it just so happened to be the first thing I ate after I got out of the delivery room.
This is B & E enjoying their lunch on the sidewalk patio. E loved watching the cars and buses zoom by while he ate his lunch.E fell fast asleep in his Dreamsicle.

This was the first time he ever slept in his trailer- he was soooo tired.
As we drove home, past B's former alma mater, we passed a house for sale that we've both liked. It's was built in 192o's, Georgian style, updated, decent size, at the Evanston asking-price of 1.3M (can't forget those property taxes of 17K). Isn't it cute?!

Certainly wouldn't mind moving back to Evanston in a few years.

It was such a fun, perfect day for biking around Evanston. Just wish I had remembered to put the battery in the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
