What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

All In A Day's Time

My Daily Routine Consists Of Something Of This Nature*****:
casually waking up to a fresh brewed cup of coffee and lounging on the family room sectional to the sound of CNN or the local news snuggled in my fluffy robe with a bowl of Cheerios in hand; taking a 30+minute steam shower; relaxing on the patio with a handful of magazines or a book to pass the time; eating lunch somewhere between 12 and 1 (my standard lunch time); leave the house for a few hours of leisure afternoon shopping/browsing; squeezing in an hour to take a 4 mile walk around the local lake while rocking out to the iPod; sitting down to dinner (be it the dining room table or the ever-so-often-used family room leather ottoman); once again following up on the worldly CNN updates and political bashes either on the TV or the internet, but most likely both; checking and responding to all of my emails and updating my blog before heading off to a deep sleep that ends when-it-ends... and between all of this, spending some much treasured time with my adoring husband.
****DISCLAIMER: It Used To.

Between all the poops, burps, nursings, naps, pumps, diaper changes, cries, and cuddles......

Dad went back to work two days ago- a significant change of pace from the last two weeks of enjoying our new son together, and certainly my 'old' days . Here's how the little one and I spent the gorgeous day:

Daddy's off to work- last minute hugs and kisses.

All set for stroller ride around the neighborhood.

View of the pond and fountain where mom and dad like to fish.

We can't wait to go swimming!

E loves his stroller and carrier.
He'll happily nap in it anytime (and Mom and Dad will happily let him).

Yes, this video is of him snoozing.

"Mom, please stop the cameras! Enough already."
We took a series of pics for his birth announcement.

Poor thing. I thought it was adorable to get a naked-baby pic.
He was sure not a happy camper, but the pics are still cute!

E's first bath. He didn't so much as care for any of the water.

Mom went solo on this bath time.

Thank goodness for the super soft bath wrap.
It was just what he needed after the spa treatment.

Story Time with a handful of books.
He's already learning his ABC's and basic numbers.

Boppy Time!!!

Nap Time. What a fun day!

Daddy's home!!!!

Daddy and E time.
I'm impressed that the little one has slept for the last couple of hours to allow me to create this blog! I must be getting good at this whole mommy routine. Let's hope that he sleeps just as well tonight.
