Just What I Thought

Just had a prenatal checkup today. There's a reason why I've been waddling at a progressively slower, much more uncomfortable state the last week. Little Colin has settled a little lower... quite a bit lower than is to be expected at 33weeks. And, I'm 50% effaced. So, we'll see what the upcoming weeks bring, with hopefully no unexpected early arrivals.

We finally made it to BRU the other day to pick out a crib, bedding, bring-me-home outfit, and some much needed baby essentials. The family trip only came after I had a tearful breakdown because I feel like he is going to arrive before we are ready (though I still have some shopping yet to do). Hysterically, B ( he just makes me laugh so, so much) handled the checkout of the items while I took care of something else. I got back to the checkout to see that they were all done processesing our heap of purchases. Minus one item:

"What about this, honey?"
"Vetoed!"
"Why?!"
"No way are we doing cloth diapers!"

At which point I totally just laughed, and told the checker to ring the burp clothes through because I intended them for everything else (nursing, drool, runny noses, meal cleanups, etc.)
haha. Oh, the look on B's face, it was just hysterical!

Here's a sneak-peek of the crib/bed we purchased. Not nearly the fabulous Westwood Stratton collection we purchased for E, but still very nice and meets all the safety-regs. We also purchased the toddler rail and conversion rails so that C can use it as long as needed. It's the Baby Cache Bliss Flat Lifetime crib. The only thing we haven't purchased is a dresser/changer. We are currently opting to just use his full-length wall closet for storage and change him on the floor. Don't get me wrong, I'd still love to have the matching dresser.
