He's a hungry, growing boy with an immense appetite.
It kindof makes me sad that he can do this on his own already. Granted, I love having two free hands.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed that he thoroughly enjoyed watching me eat, and would chuckle when I put a fork or spoon in my mouth. At which point I started exaggerating and showing Ethan how "mommy" eats. And, he seemed to be extremely interested. So, we've started Ethan on solids.
Here is a video of Ethan enjoying his rice cereal. I cannot believe how quickly and naturally he took to eating with a spoon. And, he barely dribbles- maybe he's just super hungry. An incredible appetite, just wants one spoonful after the other.
Maybe a bit too naturally. I put him in his highchair while I stood at the counter so I could use 'both hands' to eat some yummy pizza (from Daddy's restaurant). I cut up a piece of pizza, put the fork in my mouth, and it tasted fabulous. ((Finally, I can have some dinner)) I went for another bite. Fork half-way to my mouth, I glance at Ethan... and his little mouth is opening up for that piece of pizza on the fork. His little eyes so intent on putting the fork in his mouth(not sure how that was possible since he just ate). And I just bursted out laughing. Yum. Next bite, I offered to him. Had to grab the camera. Here's the next take.
As if a piece of pizza was going to be enough. Does he really think he's ready for this?!?
Not sure what else this little one is interested in eating, but we're going to let him try everything. Such great laughter relief from being stuck inside with a cold.
