Sunny Days

Here's what we've been up to the last couple of weeks:Cloud gazing and being facinated by the branches moving in the breeze.
Pouts. Faker.
Voracious reader. 1st Trip to the library. Getting bored of reading the same books over and over since we read 5-10 a day.
Somewhat standing.
Look at me...
Me and my buds.
Eli and Ethan were born two days apart; and, Liam gets to demonstrate the skills they'll be doing in a couple of months.
Last ounces of Mom's liquid gold. (Tears the whole time he drank the bottle)
We are now having to exclusive formula-feed.
Awww.
Auntie Ellen is back!!!!!!
She rocked me to sleep, held me, fed me some cereal, made me laugh.
So much fun!
Delicious homemade acorn squash.
What a great excuse to buy a food processor.
We went to the pumpkin farm with Ethan. He slept the whole time, but Mom and Dad had all the fun. The perfect size 1st Halloween pumpkin!
(He looks like he's holding his belly)
It's been chilly on our morning walks so I got him his winter hat.
It looks just like Daddy's.
Went to the city and visited Daddy's college.
Gorgeous, state-of-the-art renovated warehouse facility.
Festive, but not quite what we invisioned for Ethan's 1st pumpkin.
Does someone really have to pay for this one??

Feet in the sand. He loved to have the sand poured over his little toes.
Waiting for the water to run up to his toes.
Soaking up the sun.

Bon Appetit, Baby!!!!

He's a hungry, growing boy with an immense appetite.
It kindof makes me sad that he can do this on his own already. Granted, I love having two free hands.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed that he thoroughly enjoyed watching me eat, and would chuckle when I put a fork or spoon in my mouth. At which point I started exaggerating and showing Ethan how "mommy" eats. And, he seemed to be extremely interested. So, we've started Ethan on solids.

Here is a video of Ethan enjoying his rice cereal. I cannot believe how quickly and naturally he took to eating with a spoon. And, he barely dribbles- maybe he's just super hungry. An incredible appetite, just wants one spoonful after the other.

Maybe a bit too naturally. I put him in his highchair while I stood at the counter so I could use 'both hands' to eat some yummy pizza (from Daddy's restaurant). I cut up a piece of pizza, put the fork in my mouth, and it tasted fabulous. ((Finally, I can have some dinner)) I went for another bite. Fork half-way to my mouth, I glance at Ethan... and his little mouth is opening up for that piece of pizza on the fork. His little eyes so intent on putting the fork in his mouth(not sure how that was possible since he just ate). And I just bursted out laughing. Yum. Next bite, I offered to him. Had to grab the camera. Here's the next take.

As if a piece of pizza was going to be enough. Does he really think he's ready for this?!?

Not sure what else this little one is interested in eating, but we're going to let him try everything. Such great laughter relief from being stuck inside with a cold.
