What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have you ever played the waiting game?

Within the last couple of days:
We've purchased my dream stroller; installed the carseat carrier and bases (with seat protector) in the cars (which now have "baby on board" signs); finalized nursery furniture arrangement/decorating, purchased last minute items (I'm sure we are forgetting one or two things); visited E's great grandparents/aunt and cousins one last time before he arrives; washed all baby clothes, bedding, bath linens; started packing for the tour-de-hospital; went fishing; cleaned particular things that I don't think I'll care to clean (think about) in the upcoming months...
Did I mention that I retired as of the 3rd?
Let me restate. I left my much enjoyed education/administrative career to take care of my two loves- my husband and our little one on the way; which, needless to say, will keep me just as occupied and satisfied. I couldn't ask for anything more.
And, now we are just waiting...waiting....
With each contraction we wonder if it might be time to head off to the hospital (aka. Dad gets another several days of vacation). The last eight months (first five for B) flew by for me; but, now we find ourselves
....waiting....

Dad bought the Maxi-Cosi foray stroller the first week in April, and it is incredible. Can't wait to take E out and about in his stroller.

Carseat carrier attachment from Grandmom R and T.
All ready to be put in the car for the hospital.
Stroller base with infant/toddler seat attachment.
Reclines in three different positions, and sits forward or backwards.

Final updates to the nursery. Rearranged the furniture because dad bought me a gorgeous rocker. He is spoiling me just as much as little E- how sweet- what an incredible husband and dad!
Dresser/hutch changing table. That is his diaper bag by the door-
all packed and ready to go
Added the shelf above the crib.
Mom and Dad picked out the sailboat last June in Branson.
Rocking chair recessed in nursing/reading nook.
WANTED: Precious baby for posh nursery.

....Finished this post, but am STILL WAITING....
